It all begins with birth. The birth experience forever changed my worldview and sense of self. This is a straightforward, personal account of the birthing experience, pregnancy, parenting and growing old.
The two most profound, exhilarating, intense, painful, blissful, beautiful moments of my life were the births of my children. Birth, and I imagine death, is life stripped down to it’s most primal state. Never is womanhood more powerful than when it is bringing life into the world. This is what our bodies were designed to do and when allowed to birth intuitively and unobstructed, the birth of new life for mother and baby is at it’s most gratifying. I feel blessed to have had two very different natural births. Here are my birth stories:
